Frequently Asked Questions

How do I help my child get involved?

Look for one of our Kids Church team wearing a Hillsong Kids t-shirt and badge in the foyer before any service. Children accompany their parents during the praise and worship time, and a swirling “Hillsong Kids” sign will come on-screen when it's time to go out.

To help us best prepare, please register your child before the service. The Kids Registration Zone is open half an hour before the service begins. It may not be possible to register once the service has started.

What should my child bring?

The best thing for a child to bring is a smile and a readiness to join in and have fun! As each session is based around a Bible thought, it would be great if they could bring their Bible. Food and drinks are not provided, so please make sure they are energised up before they arrive!

Who will my child meet along the way?

Our church is built on a love for God and a love for people, so we provide every opportunity for the children to build great friendships with other children of their age.

Adult volunteers in Hillsong Kids and Families work closely with team leaders and pastors to help them provide the best possible care and development for each child.

Trained professional teachers are involved in the development and delivery of our Hillsong Kids services. All adults new to the team are required to submit a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure form, undertake Child Protection Training, and follow a structured Child Protection Policy to ensure that our high standard of care and integrity is maintained.

If you would like more information on this area, please feel free to speak to the Kids and Families Pastor.

Does Hillsong do Baby Dedications?

Yes! We have special Baby Dedication services each month. If you would like to dedicate your new baby during one of our services, please contact Phil Barnard.

I'm concerned about the sound level in the Dominion Theatre.

Please be aware that children remain with their parents in the main auditorium during the praise and worship. The sound level in the Dominion Theatre (London congregation) during praise and worship is considered high for young children.

If you are at all concerned about the effect this could have on your child's hearing, you may take your 'Cubbyhouse' or 'Ark' children into the Cubbyhouse room at the start of service, where toys are available as well as a live-link to the service for you to enjoy.
